Site Surveys

James Aiken Engineering Solutions also provides inspection, repair and maintenance services using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for certain site surveys.

Commissioning UAVs to visually check the condition of remote or difficult to access structural components can significantly reduce survey times and traditional access costs, whilst at the same time lower safety risks.

The inspection and surveying division offers the highest standards in HD video photography and 3D mapping and provides safer, faster and more accurate recording and assessment than conventional means - scaffolding, rope access and ground-based camera work.

Reducing time and costs. Improving safety risks.

All pilots are certified to fly UAVs commercially and have the qualifications to work onshore and offshore. The team is led by a UAV pilot and qualified fixed wing airplane pilot with 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.

If you have a project where you need to get closer to the point of inspection, please get in touch.

James Aiken Engineering Solutions has a broad customer base which covers bespoke machining and fabrication work for the on and offshore oil and gas industry, including subsea and marine works. Our engineering and fabrication teams also manufacture plant and equipment for the onshore chemical industry as well as the power generation sector.

Food processing plants are another sector where our machine, fabrication and installation skills have been utilised in the design and build of tanks and other types of bespoke equipment.

Much of our work comes in the form of contracts for commercial utilities, local authority works and maintenance projects for corporate and municipal buildings.
